About

Welcome to My Terminal! ~/>

Why a Tech Blog? For as long as I can remember I was the go to person for everyone, when it came to solving a tech problem or giving advice for tech product purchases.

It all started 30 years ago when my family purchased its first computer.  An Intel 386 from IBM running DOS. I spent countless hours playing games and just learning DOS commands.

A few years later, on a family trip to the US, we purchased a 486DX running Windows 3.1. It was amazing how in 4 short years computers went from a black & white terminal interface to a colorful GUI. You no longer had to use a keyboard and floppy drives to do anything. You now had a mouse and a CD-Rom. It was like magic!

By that time I was really hooked. I started reading anything I could get my hands on about computers, whether those were computer magazines or computer manuals and books that came with every new computer at the time (yeah computers used to have manuals, who would have thought).

So the years passed but my passion about computers and tech in general stayed the same. I kept reading. Building and taking apart computers. Learning new operating systems. Building and managing home networks and so much more.

Accountant by profession, computer nerd by passion!

Why visit the Site? It’s a place where you can find answers to your tech questions. I try to keep the blog posts simple and do my best to explain things for all levels of users, from beginners to advanced.

For as long as I can remember I tried to keep notes about the tech projects I took on from time to time. Starting a tech blog was always something I wanted to do but never had the time to do it.

In the time of the Corona virus however, being stuck at home gave me the incentive I was missing to finally start my blog. Writing about things I am passionate about and answering questions I keep getting from friends and family.

There is something here for everyone!

What’s next? Stay tuned for more posts about other tech subjects and new projects I want to tackle but your help is needed. Leave a comment and contact us with your tech questions and suggestions.

I will try to update this Blog regularly and try to find interesting things to write about.

Your help is more than welcome by leaving questions or suggestions on what you like to read next. The Contact Us page is always available so send me an email. I will be more than happy to try and help.

So open up your Terminals and let’s try to learn new things together!
