If you followed this blog for any amount of time you surely came across the IPTV Guides posted here. If not, then I strongly suggest you first have a read here (IPTV Updated Guide) to get up to date.
One of the most frustrating things about IPTV playlists is that the providers try to cater to as many people as possible, offering channels and content from various countries around the world in as many languages as possible. That leaves users with a frustrating long list of categories and thousands of channels, you are most likely never going to watch, making it a chore not only to scroll but find what you are looking for!
Some of these can be fixed depending on which IPTV software you use and if you are willing to go with the paid versions of these software. For example Tivimate (Paid Version) lets you hide categories and channels you don’t use. You can also assign EPG (Electronic Program Guide) for any channels with missing information. However the process is tedious as you need to hide/unhide each channel separately and any new channels/categories added by your provider will make them appear in your edited playlist on the next update.
IPTV EDITOR TO THE RESCUE!!!
IPTV Editor can do all these and more:
- Hide individual channels or whole categories
- Rename categories, channels or create new channels/categories
- Change channel logos
- Add and assign EPG sources
- Add cover art and IMDb/TVDb info to movies and TV shows.
It is also very easy to use. Just follow the easy steps shown below and you will have your own custom playlist up and running in no time!
Step 1 – Import & Edit your provider playlist
From here you can delete/rename/duplicate channels and categories to make your custom playlist easy to navigate and have only the things you actually want to watch.
Step 2 – Optimize your playlist
Step 3 – Search & Assign channel logos
Using the functionality above can help you add or change logos to your favorite channels. You can also use a similar process to add or change the cover art of the playlist’s movies and TV shows.
Step 4 – Assign EPG sources
You can use the built-in EPG sources or even use external EPG sources to assign electronic program guides to the channels you watch the most.
Extra
For users in Greece/Cyprus you can use the EPG source below for more up-to-date and accurate program guide. For channel logos if needed (in case the automatic search can’t find the channel) I suggest using a search engine and copy URLs for *.png or *.jpeg files to use.
