Syncthing Tutorial

Posted by

In a previous post about Backup, I recommended using Syncthing as a tool to keep your files safe.

It synchronizes files between two or more computers in real time, safely protected from prying eyes. It is also cross platform, meaning it works on Windows, Mac and Linux.

Think of it as your very own Dropbox or Google Drive without the privacy tradeoff of having your data stored on Google servers somewhere on the internet.

While in this post we went over the basics of installing Syncthing you can refer to the excellent video below from Lawrence Systems / PC Pickup YouTube channel for a complete step by step tutorial on installing and setting up Syncthing on Windows and Linux.
